The week got started with a blast on Sunday night at The Rails Nightclub.

Jeremy, Poly & I played from 6 til 7 sl time (which is the same at Pacific Daylight Time). It was a hot set in deed ... we were sweating in the studio!

We were followed by the awesome dj Jasper, spinning the freshest indie tunes going, for 2 hours.

Sunday night is when we hold our regular event at the clud, and it’s becoming quite popular. There was a great turnout of old and new friends and the place was hopping. The lovely hostess Tallulah was her charming self, making sure that fun was being had by all. And Plastique was up in the middle of the night to join the fun (coming from the UK).

It was surprising when my cat Chubby Kitty found his way into the club. He must have teleported from the dressing room. He came right onto the dancefloor!

There were no griefing incidents this week … last Sunday a couple of dudes came in with their dongs hanging out and wanted to dance with all the girls. Jeremy got right in there and evicted them.

Case Monroe from the band Friendly Fire was at the show and he and Jeremy organized a double bill for next Sunday (September 2)! They will be opening at 5 slt and then The Rails will hit the stage at 6 for an hour.

During the week I was contacted by Bearinthemorning Holmer about playing in a festival he is organizing next month, but alas, we won’t be able to do it. Another time for sure.

It was great to meet Bear because in RealLife he is dj Bear in the Morning transmitting from Sault Ste. Marie. He wants to play some Rails tunes on his show and has invited us to do a telephone interview.

Last night I caught the set of the excellent Phemie Alcott. She has a beautiful voice. Following her show Jeremy and I headed over to The Friendly Fire’s rocking show. By total coincidence, we had the opportunity to meet Bear there in ‘real’ second life.

We also attended a couple of dj events during the week …Rykk ‘Freak Magnet’ Ferraris’, selection of classic rock tunes and Jasper’s Emerald City set.

Hmm, lets see, what else happened this week … oh yeah, I got a great pair of shoes and a new hairdo!
